Below is a timeline of important housing dates and deadlines for the 2024-2025 academic year for students currently living on campus. If you are a new or returning student looking for the application timeline for the 2025-2026 academic year, please view the new or returning student timeline.
November
- Winter Break/Wintermester housing application available | November 1, 2026
- Winter Break/Wintermester housing application available. This application is available for students currently living on campus who need housing over Winter Break. Most residence halls close for winter break (students don't need to remove their belongings) students who need housing can complete this application and be temporarily reassigned for the break. Space is limited and assignments will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are open until December 1, 2026
- Academic Year 2026-2027 housing applications open | November 12, 2026, 10 a.m.
- Room change portal opens | November 17, 2026
- The room change request form for all current Fall 2026 students returning for Spring 2027 semester housing will be open on the Housing Portal starting November 17 through December 1, 2026
December
- The meal plan change request form for Spring 2027 opens | December 15, 2026
- Changes to meal plans can be done through the until February 5, 2027
- Winter Break assignments sent | December 3, 2026
- First round of Winter housing assignments will be sent to students staying over Winter Break/Wintermester
- Deadline to cancel Winter Break/Wintermester housing applications (full refund) | December 3, 2026
- Residents who cancel this application after December 4, 2026 are subject to being charged the full Winter Break/Wintermester rate
- Winter Break/Wintermester housing charges applied | December 10, 2026
- On or around December 10, 2026 winter break housing charges will be applied. Check your MyNevada for details on charges
- Spring 2027 housing and meal plan charges applied | December 15, 2026
- On or around December 15 , 2026 winter break housing charges will be applied. Check your MyNevada for details on charges
- Last meal in Pack Place | December 15, 2026
- Last meal (lunch) before winter break served in Pack Place
- Fall semester housing closes | December 16, 2026
- Residence halls close at 11 a.m. for Winter Break. Residents not staying over the break need to leave campus (their belongings can remain) as door access ends at 11 a.m. Residents requesting to stay past 11 a.m. need to apply for Winter Break/Wintermester; spaces are limited
- Winter Break / Wintermester housing move over | December 17, 2026
- If residents with a Winter Break/Wintermester housing assignment that is different than their academic year assignment may transition into their temporary assignment prior to 12 p.m.
January
- Spring assignments will be emailed to students | January 5, 2027
- Spring housing assignments will be sent to all Spring-only 2027 applicants who have a "completed" status on their application. Students can log on to view the status of their application in to the or by calling the housing office.
- Winter Break/Wintermester housing return to Spring assignment | January 15, 2027
- Students that needed to relocate to a different winter assignment may return to their academic year assignment.
- Students will receive an email with detailed information regarding their Winter Break/ Wintermester check out.
- Residence halls open for Spring | January 15, 2027
- Spring only arrivals, please check-in at their buildings front desk
- Room change request form opens for Spring 2027 | January 19, 2027
- The room change request form for all current students for Spring 2027 semester housing will be open on the housing portal starting January 19 through January 29, 2027
- This is the last time that the room change request form will be open for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
February
- Meal plan change requests for Spring 2027 close | February 5, 2027
- Last day to change or cancel a Lifestyle Meal Plan (Returning housing students only) for Spring 2027 | February 5, 2027
- Students can request to increase their meal plan anytime after this date by emailing a request to the housing office.
April
- Summer 2026 housing application opens | April 1, 2027
- Late stay for Spring 2027 opens | April 1, 2027
May
- Summer mini session assignments sent | May 4, 2027
- Spring move-out | May 13, 2027
- Residence halls close at 11 a.m. for Spring 2027. Residents must have a Summer housing assignment or an approved late stay for graduation.
- Summer mini-session move-in date | May 16, 2027
- Students who lived with us in Spring of 2027 will move over to their summer assignments.
June
- Summer mini session move-out | June 4, 2027
- Summer 1st session move-in | June 6, 2027
July
- Summer first session move-out | July 9, 2027
- Summer second session move-in | July 11, 2027
August
- Summer move-out for all summer students | August 11, 2027
